Who am I? What makes my life worth writing about and publishing to the world? I don't really know. I'll let you be the judge of that. First and foremost I am a wife, a step mum to a teenager (I know what you're thinking, she's actually pretty cool as far as teens go, I hope she isn't reading this), I'm also a nursing student, yes I already have one degree but one is never enough, and who knows what they want to do straight out of school, um not me! I'm a daughter to the most supportive parents (hi mum and dad) and I'm a sister to my big littler sister, she is 11 years my juniour and towers over me hence the little big part, get it!
Currently, well let's say technically, I am a Flight Attendant, due to COVID19 I haven't flown since March. I absolutely love my job, it's not always all glitz and glamour but I love the company I work for and I'm proud to say so! Can you guess what the company is (hint check out the photo on my home page and the display pics on this post)?! If you've ever wanted to know what it's like to be an FA you're in the right place because I have plenty more to come on this topic.
I'm also attempting to teach myself to draw through youtubeaversity....... so far I've had some successes and some not so great results. I'll take you on my journey of discovering my artistic self, so more on that later. Oooo see that building some suspense! You know you want to come back to read that one.
Harry Potter and McCain pizzas are life! I mean really, is there a better combo?! FYI I have received my Hogwarts acceptance letter, still trying to figure out how to manufacture a portkey to get me to Kings Cross Station, unfortunately being in Australia the Night Bus does not service my area. As you can see in this photo I am ready to go!
Some of my other guilty pleasures include re-watching teen dramas over and over and over again. I swear my husband can almost recite lines from Gossip Girl just through overhearing me watch it on repeat. Don't judge! Also please tell me I'm not alone, anyone?! Please?!
On a serious note, I have an autoimmune disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis. Ankle what you say? A good friend of mine decided to rename it, and shall now be referred to as Ankle Snoopy Socks, much better I think! I'll be writing about my journey of diagnosis, treatment and how I have dealt with having this curve ball thrown into my life which started when I was roughly 22. My hope is that by sharing my journey with chronic disease, that it will both raise awareness and hopefully make a difference for someone else going through a similar experience.
I could keep writing but then I'd have nothing more to publish, so I'll leave it at that for now. So sit back and enjoy some light reading about my life and who know's maybe on the off chance I might make you laugh or even learn something, at the very least, you will have wasted 5 minutes of your life, so what do you have to lose?
